Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using HealthRoot (the “App”), developed and operated by Vinayak Ramesh Sutar (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. About the App

HealthRoot is a personal health tracking application that allows users to record and manage blood pressure readings and diabetes-related data. The App is provided solely for personal informational and organizational purposes.

Important Medical Disclaimer

HealthRoot is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is not intended to replace professional medical care. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for any medical concerns. Decisions related to your health should never be based solely on information recorded in this App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use HealthRoot. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. User Profile and Data

1. You may create a profile containing your full name, age, height (optional), and weight (optional).

2. You can record blood pressure and diabetes-related information.

3. All data is stored locally on your device in an SQLite database. We do not store your data on any external servers.

4. You can export the local database file at any time for backup purposes. You are solely responsible for the security and storage of any exported files.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree that:

1. You will provide accurate information when creating your profile and recording health data.

2. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter.

3. You will keep your device secure (e.g., using a screen lock) to protect your local data.

4. You will not use the App for any unlawful purpose.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

1. Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

2. Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or extract the source code of the App

3. Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the App

4. Interfere with or disrupt the proper functioning of the App

5. Upload or input any harmful, abusive, or illegal content

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the App (including its design, code, graphics, and trademarks) belong to Vinayak Ramesh Sutar. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the App without our prior written permission.

7. Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. By using the App, you acknowledge that ads may be shown and that Google may collect certain device and usage data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not guarantee that:

1. The App will be error-free or uninterrupted

2. The data you record will be accurate or complete

3. The App will meet your specific health or medical needs

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vinayak Ramesh Sutar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to any loss of data, health decisions made based on App data, or any other damages.

You use the App at your own risk.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling the App will remove the local data stored by HealthRoot (unless you have previously exported it).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms within the App and revising the “Effective Date.” Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
