Our Mission,l

Our mission is to build a soul-saving church for the glory of God.  As we preach salvation by faith in Christ ---his suffering and death for forgiveness of sins, we  are throwing out the life-line to those on the troubled waters of this world.  And we are here to build up the faith, love, and joy of our members . We want to help to prepare people for the coming of the Lord.  We minister healing for soul, mind, and body through the great Mercy of God.  We believe in preaching the Word of God, teaching the word of God, and living the Word of God. 

Our Vision

Our vision is of a church on fire for God, for souls, and for the restoration of lives. We want to see lives transformed by the Holy Spirit as they behold the glories of Christ.   We want to see healings and miracles in our church services by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Ghost.  We envision the Lord using our church to bless the community around us and also bless thousands outside of the walls of the church. We want to reach all over the world with the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Social Media allows us a platform to do this. Through our You-Tube and Facebook channels, we have the opportunity to reach thousands in need of salvation and healing.

Our Story

In 2013 we began a ministry in our home in Akron, Ohio.  Our family of 4 and just a few other people where there on that first Sunday. We held services on our back porch, which was enclosed with glass, and heated. Every Sunday God brought in more people, and the cars were lined up all the way up into our back yard and then down the street. We had a great time on that porch, and the Lord blessed us. Later, the Lord opened a door for us to move to a church in Norton, Ohio. That was such a blessing, and we had great services on Sunday mornings, Sunday nights, and Wednesdays. After about two years, the property owner sold the church, and we were forced to leave. God had another plan. We waited for years but now through the grace of God, another door has opened for us, and we are just beginning to hold services again. It's been just six weeks since we have been at our new location, a nice church in Uniontown, Ohio. God has absolutley brought in faithful people to join together and build for the glory of the Lord.  We would love to have you come and join us. We have great times together and the Holy Spirit is present in our services.  We believe great things lie ahead for us. 

My Story

When I was 14 years old, playing baseball, riding bikes, and doing all of the things kids did in the summer back then, a nice lady came to our neighborhood. She gathered all of us together, somehow got us to stop riding our bikes, and taught us about the Bible every evening for about an hour. She asked us all to pray at the end of the week, and I asked Jesus into my heart. She gave me a little new Testament that I still have today. Sadly, I went away from following the Lord after that. But I always had a heart for HIm and always loved the Bible.  I was an altar boy for a while at a place where my mom was the choir director, and I remember sitting on the front pew and reading the book of Genesis. I loved it. And I still do! The Bible is the love of my life. But it was later, after I met JoAnn, my wife now, that I really got saved and started serving the Lord with all of my heart.  Jesus has been so good to me all of these years! He never fails. He's been kind, and merciful, and a real shepherd to me. I got my degree in music from the University of Akron, and later God opened a door for me to teach and preach the gospel at Grace Cathedral in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. I remained there for 17 years.  I spend some time preaching in Oregon, and then we started a church on our back porch here in Akron, in 2013. Healing Mercy Ministries was born! We believe in the healing and saving power of the holy spirit! And we welcome you to our church. Please come and be with us anytime.
