A fond memory of dance: I loved filming all the parking lot videos with BDP and getting kicked out by security!
Camille Dias
Danced From: 2011-2023
What they're up to now: I graduated from the HDS/BDH company in 2023, and remained at the studio for another 2 years as a director. While teaching, I was attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where I graduated with a BFA in dance in 2025. I was a member of the UH Rainbow Warriors Dance Team and a performer at Rock-a-Hula. Post-college in August 2025, I left for New York to attend the Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center. Now, I'm figuring out what comes next for me as an artist and as an adult.
A fond memory of dance: My favorite memory was the JUMP competition of my last year on company in 2023. It was my first and last competition as both a dancer and director and I remember being so stressed out but also so excited. I was extremely proud of the pieces I created and the pieces I got to perform in. I will always remember being so happy during Run BDH Ch1 that I kept accidentally smiling.
Closing words of thanks: To Miss Cathy and all the staff that have led me throughout my time on company and as a teacher, thank you for everything. Thank you for your love, trust, and patience. I truly am who I am because of you.

Danced From: 2013-2020
What they're up to now: Draven Arnold began dancing at age ten and continues to professionally. She trained at HDS until she went to the University of Alabama where she earned a BA in Dance with a Psychology minor. Draven has performed and choreographed, taught dance, toured with Royal Caribbean, and danced at Rock-A-Hula.
Closing words of thanks: To Ms. Cathy, Miss. Elizabeth, Kent, Tati and HDS staff, I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you’ve all given me over the years. I think back to those early morning jazz classes, the teen time, late night friday RC, the magic dances, and the many hours spent in the studio training—and I’m so grateful for every moment. You all gave me such a strong foundation in dance and taught me so many life lessons along the way. Thank you for your patience, belief in me, and for shaping both my career and who I am today!

Danced From: 2013-2026
What they're up to now: Aloha! My name is Melissa (Miss Melissa to some). I’ve been dancing at HDS/BDH for 12 years and am now a fourth-grade teacher in Kapolei. This studio inspired my love of teaching—my teachers always had my best interests at heart. Mahalo, HDS/BDH, for the memories!
A fond memory of dance: My dance friends were practically family and we still are! From late nights, to sweaty cardio circuits, to crying over heart warming stories together we truly were there for each other no matter what. We still keep in touch and always make sure we hang out if we’re all in town. Love you guys!
