The Biomechanics & Movement Rehabilitation Lab
Our mission is to understand how muscles, sensory organs, motor pattern generators, and the brain interact to produce coordinated movement patterns.
The main interest in our lab is to understand the interactions between musculoskeletal biomechanics and sensorimotor control of lower and upper extremity function with particular emphasis on the coordination of locomotion and balance.
We are also interested in determining the underlying neuromechanical mechanisms of impairments in upper and lower extremity and to create novel rehabilitation interventions to restore function and enhance quality of life.
We are an interdisciplinary lab, spanning a range of disciplines such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise science, engineering, electrophysiology, neuroscience, and health and environmental science.
We are very happy that you visit here, and we are inviting you to meet our team, explore our work, and see our high tech equipment, and experience our interactive and loving environment through the gallery.
