Head Cemetery Virtual Tour

Welcome to The Head Cemetery Virtual Tour!

This project was started as a Gold Award project, which is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. My project began when I switched school districts and noticed how little I knew about my home town. The goal from then was to create a sustainable way for Hooksett citizens to learn about the history of their town. After many hours of brainstorming and contacting the Hooksett Heritage Commission, I came up with an idea of a virtual tour of the Head Cemetery. Thanks to assistance from the Hooksett Heritage Commission and the permission of the Hooksett Cemetery Commission the idea became a reality.

That brings us here. Through out this cemetery you will find signs with QR Codes on them. QR Codes are simply squares similar to bar codes that you can scan with a smart device. Once you scan a code a link will pop up and bring you to a website. Each page has information and pictures regarding the person whose grave you stand near. By reading these brief articles you can learn more about the historic town you live in!
