We hope to solidify the interdisciplinary movement of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) as a way to promote more collaboration and creativity in creators of all disciplines. This also opens up those in the STEM fields to more creative branches of thought, and those in the arts to more methodical implementations. Both of these combined mindsets are the real world, we will have to work alongside those with different skill sets and mindsets, and STEAM emulates . We will practice this through various community projects, art installations, talks, workshops, and trips that showcase how these blends can liberate themselves from the traditional to solve problems, explore ideas, and make a difference.

"I love being apart of HC STEAMers because I care about our future generation. When we provide more academic opportunities for students to learn and thrive in, we are providing a better future for tomorrow. Any child can do amazing things if you give them the right opportunities! Plus, as a future educator, learning more STEAM related concepts now will help me in my future classroom!"
-Casey Sanda
