Open and Close the garden for the season: Conduct an opening walk through to check for needed repairs on gutters, shed, gate, raised beds and fencing • Post the to-do list on our Google Document site • Help plan for a group workday to address prioritized repairs, setup rain barrels, establish a new compost pile location in Spring, turn over last years pile In Fall • Ensure all members have cleaned out their beds before closing or notify them if they have not • Empty rain barrels and store them upside down with heavy rock to keep from blowing away • Ensure all tools are secured for winter storage • Remove any trash or recycling materials from the shed roof and collect all loose pots for storage
