Effective January 26, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within three calendar days of travel, even if vaccinated. Alternatively, travelers to the United States may provide documentation from a licensed health care provider of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel. Students found qualified for an F-1 or M-1 visa will automatically be approved for a national interest exception to travel. For information on National Interest Exceptions (NIEs) for students, look here.
Follow the instructions to apply for a visa and select an available appointment. If you have imminent travel, request an expedited visa appointment and be specific about your purpose of travel in the expedite request. If you are requesting an expedited appointment and you are not a Swiss citizen or citizen of Liechtenstein, please say whether or not you are a resident of Switzerland or Liechtenstein.
