It is weird, since I barely touched this project for a year that now that I am closing it I feel compeled to say something. Truth is: too many things happened at AI generation. When this project began it was something made out of the first omplementation of Stable Diffusion on NightCafe, lots of editing and DALLE2 outpainting. Today with so many other tools to make outpainting and many LORA´s plus SDLX bringing photorrealism to everyone... I probably could do it quite fast.
But truth is I have other ideas. Still, together with a book review I recent read, this inspired me to create a small video about robots racing in the desert. That video is cool but is also already old by now... So. I dont know. I may never return to the dieselpunk/steanpunk/something-punk robots racing in the desert. But still... The video was cool.

This is actually a work in progress. The main idea is to make a very wide mural painting depicting the starting line of a futuristic bike race between a human and three steampunk robots. The idea came with some tests I made on Midjourney:
I liked the textures and colors but the images were pretty much useless: small, undefined. I actually tried to see if some part of it coud be upsized and used as seed, but results were ghastly. All I had was the main concept. So I used Stable and editing with DALL-E to get to a set of the four first images that I liked.
The last two still need a bit of refinement. Also I not very keen on the last robot. I may create another, mabe even a couple of others: still thinking abou how wide I want the image to be. Clearly I also have to upsize and increase details on everything and then combine the seamlessly in a single image. It is carefull work and I currently lack the time. But eventually will get to it...
