Ninet, The Hub, The Axis
A colossal structure spanning two dwarf planets. Exosuits and convoys. Dropships and months-long journeys. The technology, the terrain, the daily life of those who call the Hub home.
The Hub is not a single place but an impossibility: a vast alien structure that somehow spans Ninet and Zamani, two dwarf planets separated by distances that should make connection unthinkable. Ninet is frozen, hostile, barely capable of holding a thin pressurized atmosphere in its sealed tunnels and habitats. Zamani is worse: dark, flat, and utterly lifeless, where every breath must be manufactured and every step outside a habitat risks death within minutes. Yet the Hub connects them through the Axis, a tower that defies physics and allows passage between worlds in moments. Living here means accepting a life of extreme scarcity. SUTI-M2 exosuits allow workers to operate ancient machinery whose purpose is still debated. Pressurized convoys crawl across Ninet's ice plains, carrying supplies between isolated outposts. Dropships from the colonies bring researchers and supplies after months of travel aboard Planet Jumpers. Every piece of equipment is precious. Every seal must hold. And beneath it all, the structures left by an unknown civilization wait: silent, functional, and terrifyingly purposeful. This is what daily life looks like when humanity lives in the ruins of something greater than itself.

Some, like the Velnau constellation, were agricultural hubs growing rare crops around the Lora Twins. Others, like Themyra, thrived on luxury and entertainment. For most people in the Colonies, seeing Velnau’s stations shining from the surface of the dwarfs was the closest they would ever come to such worlds.
