Dominion Derby Girls (DDG) is a flat track roller derby league located in Virginia Beach, VA formed with the purpose of promoting the sport of roller derby and giving back to the community. We are a 501c(4) organization that donates volunteer time and proceeds from bouts to charitable causes in the Hampton Roads region.
DDG follows all rules and regulations of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association and is a proud member of the WFTDA. Above all, we are an amateur athletic organization, priding itself on the strength and diversity of its skaters. As such, we have a rigorous training and practice schedule in order to be able to participate in national competition.
DDG is run by the skaters, for the skaters.
Our league is 18+, open to women and nonbinary/gender expansive
You can attend a new skater intake as a referee (open to all genders, 18+)
You are required to have active health insurance and all gear (some loaner gear available, best to reach out to us by Facebook or email beforehand if needed)
Dues are required - $150 upfront for 3 month intake program or $55/month
Arrive on intake day at 6:30pm
If you can't make intake day, email/message us on Facebook
No experience required - we will teach you how to skate or build up the skating skills you already have, and we will teach you the rules of roller derby
