At Lawrence High School, classes and programs are facing the threat of termination due to a series of budget cuts happening throughout the USD 497 district. Teachers and students both are concerned about their jobs and passions.

Transferring from Eudora High School this year, senior Madison Luchsinger is a brand new addition to LHS. Yet, despite seeming like another, ordinary high schooler, Madison has already accomplished something quite impressive for her age.

With students being back inside the school, many new clubs have been created at LHS this year for them to enjoy. The Badminton Club is one of these new additions and is quickly becoming one of LHS’ most popular clubs. I attended the club to get more information on it from the creators and students that were involved in it.
