SUSTAINABLE SUGARCANE HARVESTING FOR FUTURE GENERATION
Our primary goal is to prevent air pollution caused by sugarcane burning in Chiang Mai. To achieve this, we aim to provide sugarcane farmers with accessible and affordable resources for harvesting machines. By enabling them to harvest fresh sugarcane without burning, we promote sustainable agricultural practices while improving air quality and protecting the environment.
PM2.5 pollution, caused by fine particulate matter, poses severe health risks, especially in Chiang Mai, where crop burning worsens air quality. HAVEIT (Healthy Air: Valuable Environmental Initiative for Thailand) was founded to combat this crisis by promoting sustainable sugarcane farming. Instead of pre-harvest burning, we support no-burn harvesting methods, provide training, and offer modern equipment to farmers. By reducing emissions at the source, we aim to protect public health, improve air quality, and create a sustainable future. Clean air is a right, not a privilege—join us in making Chiang Mai breathe again. 💚
HAVEIT promotes sustainable sugarcane farming as a key solution to reducing PM2.5 pollution in Northern Thailand. Traditional farming methods often involve pre-harvest burning, which releases harmful fine particulate matter into the air, contributing to severe air pollution. Our approach focuses on eco-friendly alternatives that benefit both farmers and the environment.
