Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is an international campaign aimed at raising public awareness about the advancements and benefits of brain research. Coordinated by the Dana Foundation, BAW serves as a platform to inform people about ongoing progress in brain research, as well as advancements in diagnosing, treating, and preventing brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke, schizophrenia, and depression.
To spread awareness and scientific knowledge to rural individuals, we are hosting a science fair in Hatherleigh, Devon on Saturday the 15th of March 2025. A team of researchers and scientists will be running several interactive experiments for people of all ages to get involved in!
Lectures will be held in the evening throughout the week, more details to follow.

Evening Lecture Series: 10-12th March 2025 7.15PM for a 7.30PM start: Cost: £5 per ticket
Science fair: Saturday 15th 10:30 - 1.30 PM Cost: FREE
Everyone is welcome to join! The downstairs is fully accessible to all. A variety of activities will be available, designed to suit different ages, mobility levels, and neurodivergent individuals.
The science fair held on Saturday is completely free!
Our ambition is that everyone will go away having learned something new...and for our younger members of the community, a freebie or two.
