- At the 2026 Spring Conference of the Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers(KSMPE) held in Changwon, all the members of AM2Lab presented their research: one capstone design project, two poster presentations, and one oral presentation. (4/30)

- At the 2006 Spring Conference of the Korean Society for Technology of Plasticity and materials processing (KSTP) in Busan, Hyunseong Yang successfully presented his work titled "Effect of Friction on Springback and Cross-Sectional Deformation in Bending of Aluminum Extrusions: A Numerical Study-알루미늄 압출재 벤딩의 마찰 조건에 따른 스프링백 및 단면 변형 수치해석."

-  During the Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers(KSMPE) conference in Jeju, Prof. Ha presented a poster, titled "Constraint-induced Deformation of Solid-state Gain Media for High-energy Lasers." (11/29)

- A poster was presented at the Korean Society for Technology of Plasticity and materials processing (KSTP) in Jeju. The title was: "Bezier Spline-Based Parametric Modeling for Functionally Graded Honeycomb Structures-매개변수 모델링 기반의 베지어 스플라인 경사기능 허니컴 구조." Gil, great effort and hard work on your first poster! (11/7)

- The LI∞DM opens in September 2025 with three excellent members: Gunggil Nam, Hyeonseong Yang, and undergrad intern Jaejun Kim. (09/01) 😀

- Two posters were presented at the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers (KSME) Chonnam Branch conference at Chosun University. The titles were: "A Study on High-Performance Aircraft Fuselage-Conformal Antennas Using X-Band Slotted Waveguide Structures" and "Structural Design and Numerical Analysis of an Energy Storage System (ESS) for Ground Combat Vehicles in Operational Environments." - Prof. Ha invited two chief engineers from Hanwha Systems, Mr. Jaeho You and Dr. Kwanguoong Koh to the Capstone Design class at Chosun University. They gave project-related seminars on laser weapon systems and ESS to 4th-year students. (5/29)  

- At the 2025 Spring Conference of the Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers(KSMPE) held in Yeosu, three Capstone Design teams(supervised by Prof. Ha) received awards. (5/8)

   1) Excellence Award: A Study on the Design of Cell Cushions and Hexagonal Arrangement for Energy Storage Systems in High-Power Lasers-고출력 레이저용 에너지 저장 시스템 셀 완충재 및 배열 설계에 관한 연구

   2) Innovation Award: Energy Storage System Cooling for High-Power Laser Using a Compression Refrigeration System-압축식 냉동기를 이용한 고출력 레이저의 에너지 저장장치 냉각

   3) Innovation Award: Structural Optimization for Heat and Vibration Reduction in the Energy Storage System of High-Energy Lasers-고에너지 레이저의 ESS 발열 및 진동저감을 위한 구조 최적화

- Prof. Ha presented an invited talk on 'Mechanical Engineering Applications: From Metal Forming to Laser Weapon Systems' in the Department of Photonics Engineering at Chosun University. (3/28)
