Hassan Ahmad Babar ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information our applications ("Apps") collect, how we use it, how it may be shared, and your rights regarding your data.
This policy applies to all Apps developed and published by Hassan Ahmad Babar on the Apple App Store for iOS and macOS devices.
1. Information We Collect
A. Media Submitted by Users (Images, Videos, Audio, Text)
Our Apps may allow users to voluntarily upload or submit content (such as images, videos, audio files, or text) for analysis, processing, enhancement, detection, or AI-based functionality.
When you choose to submit content:
The selected content is securely transmitted to our backend infrastructure.
The content may be processed using third-party cloud computing or AI service providers.
The submitted content may contain personal information, including faces or other identifiable elements.
We only process content that you actively select and submit. We do not access your device media without your permission.
Face Data Disclosure
If submitted media contains faces, we want to be transparent about what we do not do:
We do NOT perform facial recognition.
We do NOT identify individuals.
We do NOT verify identity.
We do NOT extract biometric identifiers.
We do NOT create biometric templates.
We do NOT use face data for tracking or profiling.
Face-containing content is processed solely to provide the requested app functionality (e.g., AI detection, enhancement, classification, or analysis).
B. Device & Technical Information
We may collect limited technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, anonymous usage statistics, session duration, and feature interaction data. This information is anonymized and used only to improve app performance and reliability.
C. Support Communications
If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address and information you voluntarily provide. This data is used only to respond to your inquiry.
D. AI Services and Data Processing
When you use AI-powered features in AI Notebook - AI Note Taker, certain information that you choose to submit is transmitted to our secure backend and to OpenAI to generate AI-powered responses.
The information that may be transmitted includes:
Text you enter, such as prompts, notes, questions, and requests.
Voice transcripts generated from your audio recordings.
Documents or other content you choose to submit for AI processing.
This information is transmitted solely to provide the AI features you request, including note generation, summaries, meeting minutes, text rewriting, and other AI-assisted functionality. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
We do not use this information for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not sell this information to any third party.
OpenAI processes this information on our behalf, acting as a data processor, solely to generate the AI response you requested. OpenAI does not use data submitted through our App to train its models, and is contractually required to protect the information it receives in accordance with its own privacy and security practices. Data Retention for AI Processing Prompts, notes, voice transcripts, and documents submitted for AI processing are retained only for as long as necessary to generate the requested response and to allow you to access your saved notes within the App. You may delete your notes and associated content at any time from within the App. Deleted content is removed from our active systems within [X days] and from backups within [X days].
Your Consent and Choices Use of AI features is optional. Before any data is transmitted to OpenAI, the App will request your explicit consent via an in-app prompt/toggle in [Settings > AI Features]. If you do not provide consent, your data will not be transmitted to OpenAI, and AI features will not be available. You may withdraw consent at any time from within the App, which will stop future data transmission to OpenAI.
Information We Collect We may collect the following information:
Information you voluntarily provide, including notes, prompts, voice transcripts, and uploaded content.
Device information necessary for app functionality, such as device model, operating system version, and app version.
Subscription and purchase information provided by Apple to manage premium features.
How We Use Your Information We use your information to:
Generate AI-powered notes and summaries.
Process speech-to-text requests.
Improve app functionality and reliability.
Provide customer support.
Manage subscriptions and purchases.
Third-Party Services To provide AI functionality, we use:
OpenAI – Processes user-submitted prompts, notes, voice transcripts, and other content solely to generate AI responses, on our behalf and under contractual data protection terms. OpenAI does not use this data to train its models.
Apple – Provides purchase and subscription management, and anonymized analytics where applicable.
Your Choices You may choose not to use AI-powered features. If you do not consent to data sharing for AI processing, your information will not be sent to OpenAI, and AI features will not be available. You can manage or withdraw this consent at any time in [Settings > AI Features], and you can delete any AI-generated or submitted content from within the App.
2. How We Use Information
We may use collected data for:
Providing requested app functionality
AI-based analysis or processing
Improving features and performance
Debugging and crash resolution
Customer support
Security and fraud prevention
Legal compliance
We do NOT use your data for:
Selling personal information
Advertising networks
Cross-app tracking
Behavioral profiling
Marketing without consent
3. Third-Party Service Providers
All third-party providers are contractually obligated to:
Process data only for the intended purpose
Maintain appropriate security safeguards
Not sell or misuse the data
Provide protection equal to or greater than our own privacy standards
We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
4. Data Retention
User-submitted content is processed temporarily and is not permanently stored unless explicitly stated.
Content is retained only as long as necessary to complete processing.
Technical analytics data may be retained for up to 12 months.
Support communications may be retained for up to 24 months.
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the stated purposes.
5. Data Storage & Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure cloud infrastructure, access controls and authentication, monitoring and logging, and regular security reviews.
6. User Consent
Before transmitting user-submitted content to third-party processing services, we may request explicit user consent within the App. You may withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use of the feature.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware of such data collection, we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict processing, withdraw consent, and request data portability.

9. International Data Transfers
Data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including France (SightEngine). We ensure appropriate safeguards are implemented.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be reflected by revising the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Apps constitutes acceptance of changes.
