Privacy Policy for HashTy

HashTy ("the App") is developed by Ruben Garcia Figueroa. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.

No Account Required

You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to use HashTy's core features (hashtag generation, categories, Discover, Library).

On-Device Processing

AI-assisted post and caption generation runs on-device using Apple's Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence), when available on your device. Photo analysis for hashtag suggestions uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. None of this processing sends your photos, prompts, or generated content to any server operated by HashTy or any third party.

Reel Studio Captions

When you use Reel Studio to auto-caption a video, transcription is performed on-device using Apple's Speech framework. Audio from your videos is never uploaded or transmitted off your device.

Hashtag Search (Datamuse)

When you search for word-association hashtag suggestions, the text you type is sent to the public Datamuse API (api.datamuse.com) to retrieve related words. This is the only feature in HashTy that sends data to an external service, and it only ever includes the search text you typed - no photos, account details, or other personal data.

Connecting Social Accounts

If you choose to connect an Instagram or TikTok account, authentication happens through each platform's own official sign-in flow. HashTy never sees or stores your password.

Data Storage

Your hashtag history, favorites, collections, and Creator Profile are stored locally on your device using iOS's standard local storage. HashTy does not operate a backend server and does not upload this data anywhere. Deleting the App from your device permanently deletes this data.

Subscriptions and Payments

HashTy Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed entirely through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). HashTy never receives or stores your payment card details.

Advertising

HashTy does not display third-party ads and does not use advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.

Children's Privacy

HashTy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
