When I started working with a therapy center in Auckland in December 2022, they were already running Google Ads. However, they were not happy with the results. They felt the campaigns were not generating the right kind of inquiries, and their budget was not being used efficiently.
They needed someone who could step in, reorganize everything, and improve performance.
That is where I came in.
I am not someone who claims to be the best Google Ads manager in the world. But I understand strategy. I understand structure. And I understand people.
This project was personal to me.
As a father of a son diagnosed with autism, I know how overwhelming it can be for parents searching for therapy services. I know how important it is to find the right support quickly. So when I handled this account, I did not look at it as just another campaign. I looked at it from the perspective of a parent searching for help.
I reviewed their existing campaigns, identified areas where budget was being wasted, and restructured the account to focus on higher intent searches within Auckland. I refined the targeting, improved the ad messaging to sound more compassionate and clear, and continuously monitored the performance to make sure the budget was being spent wisely.
Over the course of nearly two years, from December 2022 to June 2024, the campaigns generated:
2,140 clicks
39,400 impressions
5.44 percent CTR
2,800 in total ad spend
For a specialized therapy service with a focused local audience, these results reflected steady and efficient performance. More importantly, the center was receiving consistent inquiries from families actively looking for therapy support.
Unfortunately, in mid 2024, I had to make a difficult decision.
At that time, I was working in Taiwan as an OFW. My shifts were 12 to 14 hours a day, and balancing a physically demanding full-time job with campaign management became challenging. I believe that if I cannot give 100 percent to a client, it is better to step back responsibly rather than deliver half-hearted work.
So I ended the partnership professionally.
This project remains meaningful to me. It was not just about running ads. It was about helping families connect with services that could truly make a difference in their children’s lives.
And that is something I take pride in.
