The caramel apple craze is a relatively new aspect of our market. The idea came to be a few years ago, when our Mutsu trees were producing apples that were a pound or larger! The large apples were hard to sell in our standard half-peck and peck sizes due to their large size. So, Alex decided to make the giant caramel apples we offer today, thinking it would be a single-season commitment. But, because the caramel treats were so popular, she has continued making them, with the help of her younger brother, Jack.
