About

I'm a student with a passion for solving analytical problems. I am excited about statistical modelling (statistics + coding) and have implemented some techniques to improve business decisions.

My work on predicting coverage ratios for a novel Malaria vaccine was recently accepted by Springer (2020) as a peer-reviewed book chapter. Previously, my review work on various Gaussian models and associated simulations was published by IGI Global (2019) as a peer-reviewed book chapter.

I've done live projects and internships with the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Chai Kaapi, Kriger Campus, Junglewalla Safari, TCS, Retail Division and many more.

I've also published two Overleaf templates: one for assignments another for reports through LaTeX.

Interest and skills

I like programming and solving problems through that. I started to code in C/C++, but over time picked up R. I know the basics of Java and HTML. R, these days, happens to be my go-to language for all purposes. I am good at typesetting documents using LaTeX and building websites using WordPress. I learnt these as I needed them for research publications and my online persona, respectively.

I like Mathematics and Statistics and have worked on several projects in them. I am also fond of Philosophy, Political Science, and Sociology. Thomas Hobbes and Sigmund Freud are my favourites.

Adventure sports are my thing. I've done skydiving, parasailing, paragliding, skiing, zorbing, rock climbing, trekking, rafting, kayaking, hiking and more. I love Calvin and Hobbes comic strip and consider it to be the single most relatable and ingenious work ever. I often spend my time reading books; you'll always find my Kindle around me.

I like listening to music, mostly Bollywood. My playlist of Classical Hindi Music is getting traction off late on Spotify. Do give it a try.

Academics

I am studying in the Integrated Program in Management (IPM) at the Indian Institute of Management Indore. Effectively, I have completed my B.A. (Foundations of Management) and am currently enrolled in M.B.A. I was also an exchange student at the University of Latvia (Latvijas Universitate) under the ERASMUS+ grant during Feb-Jun 2019.

I completed my schooling at Sainik School Tilaiya, Jharkhand, in 2016. Sainik School Tilaiya is a military-established school under the Ministry of Defence where I had military training for seven years. It made me tougher, mentally and physically, enhanced my endurance multi-fold, and made me much stronger than I ever was. For seven years, I was awarded the Ministry of Defence, Government of India and Government of Jharkhand Scholarship.
