After joining the Business and Finance club sophomore year, I was introduced to club members who love finance and value the importance of financial responsibility and knowledge. At the start of my junior year, my classmate and I took ownership of the club and continued to grow the club. We found new members, arranged new activities, and introduced to and educated new students in finance.
After having played basketball for several years, I moved in a different direction when I decided to start playing golf. I played on the Junior Varsity team my freshman year, then was able to earn a spot on the varsity team my sophomore, junior, and senior years. Golf has taught me many important lessons and has introduced me to people who have mentored me and led me academically and athletically.
I have been a member of the California Scholarship Federation for essentially my entire high school career and I have participated in many tutoring opportunities with the club. The California Scholarship Federation recognizes and encourages academic achievement and community service in California's middle and high schools and has certain course rigor and grade point average requirements for membership.
Being a member of the National Honor Society, I have participated in service activities and collaborated with my peers to help others. The National Honor Society's mission is to recognize and promote academic excellence, leadership, character, and service in high school students.
