Hi, I’m Harihar Subramanian, a game and level designer focused on narrative-driven, atmospheric experiences that prioritize player emotion, environmental storytelling, and thoughtful pacing.
I enjoy designing spaces that guide players naturally through lighting, layout, and interaction rather than heavy UI or explicit instructions. My work often explores psychological tension, empathy, and emotional immersion, using design to shape how players feel as much as what they do.
My design approach centers on clarity, pacing, and player perception. I pay close attention to how players interpret spaces, how information is revealed over time, and how small environmental details can communicate narrative and guide behavior.
I value iteration and playtesting, and I treat design as a conversation between intention and player experience. Whether working solo or in a team, I aim to balance creativity with scope awareness to ensure ideas are both meaningful and achievable.
I am seeking opportunities in game or level design where I can contribute to immersive player experiences, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and continue developing my skills in spatial design, narrative integration, and gameplay systems.
I am particularly interested in projects that value atmosphere, storytelling, and thoughtful player guidance.
