Ages 2.5–5 | Play-Based Learning
At HarbourVista Learning Centre, we provide a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
Our program is designed for children ages 2.5 to 5, focusing on school readiness, emotional development, and a lifelong love of learning through play.
We believe children learn best through meaningful experiences and relationships.
Our play-based approach encourages children to explore, ask questions, and build confidence at their own pace.
Educators support each child’s development by creating a calm and structured environment where curiosity and independence are encouraged.
Each day includes a balance of structured activities and free play:
Hands-on learning through play
Art, crafts, and creative expression
Storytime and early literacy
Music and movement
Social interaction and group activities
Problem-solving and independent play
We value the importance of outdoor play and connection with nature.
Children have daily outdoor time, including visits to nearby parks where they can explore, move, and develop their physical skills in a natural environment.
We support the whole child by focusing on:
Social and emotional development
Communication and language skills
Independence and confidence
Creativity and curiosity
Building positive relationships
At HarbourVista Learning Centre, we believe childhood should feel warm, joyful, and meaningful.
We strive to create a place where every child feels safe, smart, and special.
We understand that children learn best when they feel secure and valued. That’s why we focus on building strong relationships, encouraging curiosity, and supporting each child at their own pace.
Through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and everyday moments, children are given the space to explore, try, and grow with confidence. Whether they are discovering something new, solving a problem, or simply enjoying time with friends, every experience helps build a strong foundation for the future.
More than anything, we want children to leave each day feeling proud of themselves, excited to come back, and confident in who they are becoming.
