At Happy Little Learners Family Child Care, we value play-based learning for all children. We strive to prepare an enriching environment with developmentally appropriate materials for child-led learning through play. Children get to hear Bible stories each day during mealtimes from the Rhyming Bible Storybook. 

We incorporate Montessori principles such as child independence, freedom of movement, and practical life skills. Children learn how to feed themselves, put on their jackets and shoes, wash their hands, and clean up after themselves. They are encouraged to do tasks independently, as long as they are capable. 

Music, art, movement, interactions with nature, and imaginative play happen throughout each day during free play. Children go outdoors to explore the environment, listen to the birds sing, and play with natural materials. Song and dance are used throughout the day for teaching as well as transitions to different activities. Process art activities and crafts will also be provided based on each child's interest.

For families looking for a more academic program, we offer the Raising Kingdom Warriors curriculum. This is a preschool curriculum for children ages 3-6 that is a combination of Montessori education with Christian teachings. Activities are presented based on age, developmental stage, and interest.
