Siena's Hope is that every animal finds a safe and loving home!
I believe that I can help pet overpopulation and help animal resources be more available in our community while also engaging and supporting the retired community. As CEO Robert Armbrust has stated, the high demand for assistance can reduce available resources and space for animals currently in our community. To address this need I have started creating crochet hats for animals as a way to raise funds for spaying and neutering animals and allowing for more space in expanding the facility.
To make this initiative even more impactful, we can engage the retired community to help create these hats. Many retired individuals have amazing skills and talents that they are eager to share, and crochet is a popular hobby among the retired community. By enlisting their help, we can create a sustainable source of money for the Palo Alto Humane Society's work, and also provide a sense of purpose and companionship for those participating.
Furthermore, The Palo Alto Humane Society will make visits to the retired community to further engage them. Spending time with animals has been shown to have numerous benefits for mental and emotional well-being, and this initiative can help combat feelings of isolation, loneliness and give purpose.
Overall, I believe that this initiative has the potential to make a significant impact on animals that The Palo Alto Humane Society works to help throughout our community, as well as seniors and retirees.
By creating these crochet hats for a minimum of $20 donation you can help save an animal's life. This money will help create more space for the animals.
