I teach adult dog, adolescent, puppy classes and private training. In 2018, after 12 years of teaching, I earned the Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed certification. I use a positive motivational approach to working with pups and dogs. This means using treats, toys and the opportunity to do something your dog loves rather than getting down on him for doing something wrong.
Private training is offered Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays by Appointment. We meet at your home to work on areas of difficulty and improving areas that are going well. Meetings may take place weekly or monthly at your discretion. After the first meeting I send detailed notes of what was covered, including your homework for the week. Lessons currently offered on Saturdays from 2:00-3:00pm.
Please use the Training Questionnaire button above to help me create a training plan for you. (Send me a text or email if you haven't heard from me in 24 hours.)
Canine Good Citizen Level 1 group class is in the works for March and April 2026! I'm aiming for Friday mornings at Canine Sport Zone in Middleton. This class is appropriate for dog and handler teams new to adult dog training with the goal of moving toward passing the Canine Good Citizen evaluation. This class is not appropriate for dogs that are reactive to other dogs or people. (Check out Private Training). Dogs and their handlers will work on calming around distractions, sitting politely for petting, walking on a loose leash, come, stay and more. Email me to get on the contact list for this class.
