My Pets

I am honored to train and live with my own pets including a Shih Tzu, Bichon Frise, a Ragdoll cat and a Black DSH cat. Previously, I loved a Standard Poodle, Rat & Jack Russell Terriers, a Welsh Terrier/Poodle mix, a Cocker/Poodle/Chihuahua mix, a Blue Heeler mix and guinea pigs. I also have 3 fish tanks.  As a trumpet player, all of my pets are named after musical concepts.

Dogs:

JJ's Midnight Serenade CD RA, Sara, earned her Companion Dog Obedience and Rally Advanced titles.  She was a well loved black Standard Poodle who helped me learn many new things. Nov 2004-May 2016

Boston's More Than a Feeling CGCA, Boston, earned his Canine Good Citizen Advanced title.  He was a rescue Shih Tzu from New Beginnings Shih Tzu Rescue.  Sweet, loving and gentle and he had the best Happy Morning Dances. May 2007-May 2022

Fantasy's Sweet Baby James RN BCAT CGCA TKI FITB, Taylor, earned his Rally Novice, Beginning Coursing Ability Test, CGC Advanced, Tricks Intermediate, and Beginning Fit Dog Titles.  He is trained as a therapy dog and enjoys visiting assisted living locations and the Dane County Airport to provide comfort to others. October 2016

Dieter's Oakley Jo BCAT CGC TKN, Oakley, loves to run and earned his Beginning Coursing Ability Test, Canine Good Citizen and Tricks Novice titles.  Oakley is my rescue Bichon Frise from NBSTR and is still learning new things.  (Oakley was named by someone else, but maybe Tie a Yellow Ribbon if I got to choose his name.) Oakley has great skill in helping people slow down.  May 2018

Cats:

Springvaledoll's Blue Suede Shoes, Elvis, is a Blue Point Ragdoll and knows sit, spin, down, jump up, kennel, and has a great recall from my fenced back yard.  February 14 2015

BoDean's Good Things, Deany, a solid black Domestic Shorthair.  I drove 6 hours to my hometown to get him after his owner died from cancer.  I had worked with her at the shelter there and knew she'd have well trained cats.  Deany knows sit, down, jump up, come, kennel and how to get a bag of chips from a closed cupboard.  Darn good mouser too!  May 2015
