I texted Kristen to ask her what her favorite birthday cake was and she had a hard time coming up with an answer for me but one thing was clear, she loves sprinkles. What birthday would be complete without sprinkles, lots of sprinkles. A birthday also requires cake and ice cream so I decided to combine the two in a Birthday Cake Milkshake. You can get the flavor of the cake and the ice cream all in one.

It is pretty, delicious and easy! You only need three ingredients for the shake, ice cream, milk and your favorite flavor of dry cake mix. I used yellow cake mix. Of course no milkshake would be complete without whipped cream and sprinkles so I guess that makes 5 ingredients.

Her birthday falls the day before Easter, so I've been trying to make sure they don't get lumped together by making sure we don't do anything Easter-related until Easter. Food-wise, I'm making her a birthday cake (vanilla with strawberries per her request - recipe to come next week after I've made the cake). I've also been planning a whole day of birthday celebrating, starting off with a healthy, but delicious birthday cake smoothie to start off the day.

I was inspired to make this birthday cake smoothie after we tried the birthday cake frappucino from Starbucks. I loved the taste, but drinking it, I could tell it was about a thousand calories. I wanted something that tasted just as delicious, but also suitable for a breakfast. This smoothie tastes incredible. I made about 6 of these smoothies already and I'm convinced this is the only thing I need to be drinking for a very long time.

P.S. If you are looking for a more indulgent way to celebrate your [un]birthday, check out my cake batter milkshake!

This is the most sprinkle-tastic birthday cake you will ever encounter. I made this because we were getting together with some friends to celebrate the memory of a dear friend we lost nearly two years ago. I volunteered to make the dessert for this little dinner gathering and since it was in honor of what would have been his 67th birthday, what better than an outrageous birthday cake?

Okay all, this is going to be my last birthday cake inspired recipe for the week! This birthday bonanza was all in honor of my little girl's birthday, which officially kicks off birthday season for my family. Almost ALL of our close family has birthday's in Spring and early Summer months. Now that the excitement is starting to wane from my mini me turning 7, I can get back to some bit of normalcy. Let's face it, none of our 'adult' birthdays are nearly as important as the little one's.

With my own birthday on the horizon and the inevitability of being another year older I thought what better time than now to introduce this Birthday Cake inspired protein shake! It's loaded up with plenty of birthday cake flavor, plus a boost of protein and collagen to keep you strong and satisfied.

I used the vanilla flavor to give me that 'cake batter' flavor that I was wanting. And I've got to say, it gave me that perfectly smooth and creamy texture for this shake that I was looking for. I also opted to use naturally colored sprinkles that aren't made using artificial dyes. Plus, there's even more protein loaded into this shake with the use of greek yogurt and milk. But, you could use any other sort of milk too, if you want.

Most recipes I found have a ton of random ingredients like corn syrup, vanilla extract, butter extract, cake mix, yogurt, birthday cake protein powder, sugar, etc. So I wanted to find a way to simplify the recipe. Both to make it easier to whip up & help the ingredients more transparent.

There are four kids in my family, two of us prefer cake, while the other two prefer the frosting. At every single birthday party or celebration we have ever gone to you could see the four of us huddled together scraping the icing off and trading it for the cake, or vice versa. Ha! Your story totally took me back!! ? I love this shake! It is fun, I bet it tastes fabulous! I need to make it for my frosting loving siblings!

Sprinkles and vanilla cake flavor...for breakfast?! It's the only way to start a birthday! This Vegan Birthday Cake Smoothie tastes like a huge slice of cake but is actually filled with good-for-you ingredients that will give you the energy to party all day long!

This recipe is vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, grain-free, refined sugar-free and peanut-free. I provide a nut-free version below. Birthday cakes are some of the most memorable parts of every year's celebration. While that tradition never has to be shunned, entering adulthood does give some new dessert options on your birthday. For those of us out there who want the option to have birthday cake in cocktail form, there's fun options to be considered!

It's my birthday in little less than two weeks and I was thinking about making myself a cake and have been scouring the Internet for recipes that fit my low sugar, low fat, low carb needs. I have fully accepted that this may be impossible but I figured I'd ask for suggestions? I can't really tolerant Splenda or aspartame. I made a practice cake with Swerve yesterday but something about Swerve made my tongue numb! I successfully made chocolate zucchini pumpkin bread and coconut flour shortbread (I add Protein unflavoured protein powder) but I'm looking for something a little more birthday cake-y. Has anyone made something like that?

Instead of baking a cake, shake up a round of Funfettini Birthday Cake Martinis to celebrate any birthday in style! This delicious twist on a birthday cake shot is made with vodka, hazelnut liquor, creme de cocoa, lemon juice and club soda. The rainbow nonpareils garnish takes this drink from regular cake to funfetti goodness. Funfettinis make the perfect dessert cocktail for any sort of revelry, including The Speckled Palate's Fifth Birthday!

Have you tried a cake batter milkshake or cake batter ice cream yet? When we were at the ice cream shop over the holiday, my younger brother kept talking up this cake batter ice cream they had and told me I had to try it.

adding the funfetti made it absolutely inedible for me. I heat treated funfetti mix and it smelled awful, and when i added it in and tried the milkshake it had a very very bitter after taste. I would recommend making a cooked funfetti cake (instead of just adding funfetti cake mix) and putting it in a food processor then blending it into the blender because it didnt taste good.

WOOHOO! totally deserves a new healthy shake tab! iv never had cake batter ice cream either! its deffos an american flavor! also.. you rly dont find ice cream places in london anyway- not that id go to them- not exactly vegan! im LOVING this milkshake series- and i think we all know Ive got a plentiful supply of bananas ? 2351a5e196
