Our Mission
Our mission at Happitime Playgroup is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where each child can flourish and reach their full potential. We believe in fostering a love of learning through exploration, creativity, and meaningful relationships.
We strive to create a space where children feel safe, respected, and empowered to explore their unique interests and talents. Our approach is designed to nurture their natural curiosity, encourage problem-solving skills, and promote social-emotional growth. We believe that play is an essential part of learning, and we create a variety of opportunities for children to engage with all areas of the early years curriculum whilst still maintaining a balance of spontaneous and child lead learning.
As a parent led group we have built up strong relationships with parents, childminders and our wider community. We pride ourselves on supporting parents as well as their children and believe that a child's unique family is the most important influence in a child's life
Ultimately, our mission is to empower each child to become confident, independent learners who are ready to embrace the world with curiosity, kindness, and a sense of wonder.
Happitime is a non-profit-making organisation and a registered charity. We have been offering children in and around Hackney and a safe and fun place to play and learn since 1967.
Children have plenty of free play - they can choose of a range of themed activities from home corner play, small world play and dressing up, along with arts and crafts, and group activities such as music, singing and story time.
A healthy snack is provided each morning and afternoon.

“My son's social, emotional and verbal development since he started at Happitime has been incredible. He runs into the room with a smile on his face and comes out with stories, ideas and skills that continually surprise me"
