Supervision
I supervise undergraduate and graduate dissertations for a variety of programs at UCL (primarily the philosophy BA, MA, MPhil, and PhD programs, but occasionally the PPE BSc, PPE Health MA, and EISPS programmes as well). I have supervised projects on a wide range of topics in political philosophy, and on selected topics in epistemology, ethics, and applied ethics.
I'm especially interested in supervising research projects on social equality, social hierarchy, and relational egalitarianism (where this includes a range of associated questions about, for example, class, race, ethnicity, caste, gender, and disability; the social and political significance of pride, shame, stigma and discrimination; the relationship between political institutions and economies of recognition, esteem, and respect).
I'm also interested in supervising projects on political liberalism, public reason, and liberal toleration.
