About Me

Hi! My name is McKayla Hansen, but most people just call me Kayla. I started taking piano lessons when I was six years old, and I have been playing ever since. As a kid, I played in many competitions over the years, and I accompanied my school and church choirs on a regular basis. I absolutely love the piano, and I have a passion for teaching. I taught piano and violin lessons for four years, but I took a break from teaching when I moved to North Idaho and started college. I still played music throughout college, and I graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in December 2021 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I think music education has many benefits, and I want to help all my students develop a skill that will last them a lifetime.
