About Us

I would describe their story as one of  love, resilience, and above all Faith. 

Hendrik was born right here on this farm, and this has been his life, his home, all along. He and Hester have been married for twenty-one beautiful years now, and together they’ve built something truly special. They’re the proud parents of four children, each one a testament to their love and hard work and faith in God.  

I asked Hendrik once how it all began, and he took me back to one of Namibia’s toughest droughts. It was a time when the land was dry and life felt heavy, but that’s when they decided to do something meaningful.

They started hosting small camps for children from nearby communities—just for a few days at a time—but those days meant the world to the kids. "You should have seen the smiles, heard the laughter."

Those children absolutely loved it. It wasn’t just about fun; it was about giving them hope and skills. 

That’s who Hendrik and Hester are—people who find ways to make life better and teachers of faith and skill, no matter the circumstances. 

"At Hansa Farming, our goal is simple yet deeply heartfelt: to create a space where people from all walks of life can come together to learn, grow, and connect—with the land, with each other, and with themselves. From mastering artisanal skills like cheese-making to learning the art of hunting springbok or crafting traditional biltong, every day brings something new to discover. But it’s not just about practical skills—it’s about savoring moments under starlit skies, sharing laughter around an open fire, and exploring God’s creation through game drives, dam camps, and breathtaking tours across southern Namibia, including visits to the majestic canyon.

We invite you to an unforgettable 7 day or 40 day adventure on a farm in beautiful Namibia? 

We invite young adults, midlife couples or single adults to immerse themselves in farm life, learning essential skills like farming techniques, food production, and sustainable living. 

You’ll help us make our own cheese, harvest fresh produce, and enjoy organic meals sourced directly from the farm.

Throughout your stay, you’ll experience the rewarding daily routines of farm life, all while connecting with nature and local traditions. 

Pluss within the 40 day experience, we’ll take an existing week-long trip to the southern part of Namibia, where you’ll explore stunning landscape and rich culture of this incredible country.
