2023 was WATE's first year as the main media sponsor for the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon. I created a social plan to promote the on-air and online coverage of the race.
I have also created several full screens for producers to use during the news to drive traffic to the web. Since implementing the QR codes, we have seen an increase of nearly 1,000 page views per story.
While at WATE, I managed the station's YouTube channel. I helped to manage the content sent to the channel while growing the reach of the channel. Since taking over the channel in July, the channel has gained 9,000 subscribers and it is still growing. In February of 2022, views have increased by around 12,000 daily.
During my time at WATE, I have written extensively. I enjoy being able to write on a range of topics and help keep viewers in East Tennessee informed.

In the Spring of 2018, through my Social and Digital Media Writing Course, I worked with Cortland Elis to create a content calendar for Uptown Columbus. Cortland and I would meet with Uptown to gain an idea of what their brand was and what they wanted their online presence to represent. We performed a social media audit to advise Uptown on how to improve their online presence. Then, using the information from our meeting with Uptown and our audit, we created a calendar for them to begin implementing our suggestions for improvement.
While interning at New Hope, part of my responsibilities was to create images and graphics. Using Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Paint, I created eye-catching images that embody their brand on Instagram.
Through my Group Through my Group Communication class, I worked with a group to create a year-long Facebook campaign for Safe Kids Columbus. They are a non-profit focused on keeping children in Columbus safe. Through this project, I gained an understanding of how to use Hootsuite and how I can best present content on Facebook.
Below you can see a sample of the plan I created and used for the Recreation Center's social media. Through this plan, I was able to track what posts did well and use that data to create content that worked best for their audience.
While I worked as an intern for The Screen Arts Institute, my primary responsibility was to redesign their You Are Your Story website. SAI uses this website as the place where organizations can register for their personal improvement workshops. My redesign helped the website become easier to navigate and prettier to look at.
