From there, I focus on function. What does it need to do? How does it need to work? How can the form follow that need?
Finally, I hone the details, ensuring the result is thoughtful, polished, and cohesive.

Romantic Wedding Decor in a Historic Hotel
This 80-person wedding was set against the beautiful backdrop of the Horton Grand Hotel in Downtown San Diego. The Bride and Groom desired a warm, romantic, and minimalist aesthetic incorporating handmade, personalized touches to engage and delight their guests.
From graphic design and hand-drawn artwork to custom-built flower stands and plywood signs worked to a smooth, glossy finish, this project encompassed a variety of design and crafting mediums.

Destination Wedding Stationery Set
For this vibrant 50-person destination wedding, the couple wanted the day-of stationery to match the theme they had already selected for their invitations. After an initial proposal to confirm their desired aesthetic, I leveraged Canva, Figma, and Cricut Design Space to curate a full suite of stationery and signage. Elements included a Welcome Card and 5-day Itinerary, personalized signage, festive shot glass Seating Arrangement Display, Dinner Menu and Place Cards, and more.
Technology Expo & Holiday Party Branding
Once the executive team established the event theme, I was entrusted with developing the visual aesthetic and branding for the technology expo. The final concept struck a balance between sleek, tech-forward design and a whimsical holiday spirit, an approach that resonated strongly with stakeholders and elevated the overall event experience.

Internal Publications Graphic Design and Copywriting
As part of an internal communication initiative at a technical consultancy firm, I was tasked with creating regular email publications to be distributed to the full company. Inspired by the company's crisp and angular logo, both publications were designed to incorporate clean lines and color blocks. Contrasting colors were used to create visual appeal and ensure readability. The company's library of professional candid photos from events was utilized to create a sense of community and camaraderie.
UX Design for Virtual Screenwriting Contest
This 48-Hour Screenwriting Contest required a custom-built submissions page that interacted with the company's writing application. Incorporating the existing application aesthetic, I crafted a streamlined user experience to upload, submit, and track their screenplay submission. Collaborating with developers, I ensured the functional implementation of the UX design for desktop and mobile browsers. A lot of care was taken to cover every contingency and make the experience as familiar and seamless as possible. Over 1000 contestants submitted their scripts through this application.
Album Release Social Media Promo
Crafted for Instagram and Eventbrite, this promotional media combined the album art with promotional photography. In collaboration with the artist, this piece was curated to capture the casual, warm, and distinctive vibe of the original poetry and instrumental composition album.
