Hannah Daniel, a Spanish major and first-year student at Fisk University. Hannah is from Dayton, Ohio where she grew up in a single parent household. Despite the challenges, she continued to rise above and do her best in everything she set her mind to. Hannah now uses those past struggles as motivation and tells her story to inspire others with similar circumstances. She studied at Northmont High School from 2018-2022 where she graduated in the top 7% of her class with a 4.28 GPA. She has exceled in various areas including Spanish, music (voice and clarinet), community service, leadership, etc. Hannah has 4 years of experience in college level Spanish and was ranked most improved in her class moving up to intermediate high/advanced low by the end of senior year.
Hannah also has volunteered in many places including her church and worked a job as well. At church, she sang on the worship team, danced, and assisted with the social media page. In addition, she has 3 years of customer service interacting with various cultures and communities during her time at Chick-fil-A. Also, Hannah is a trained Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Advocate. She was a Hope Squad leader, an organization that encourages peer-to-peer outreach and counseling. With this program, she helped connect students with needed resources regarding mental health. Now, Hannah is studying Spanish with a concentration in psychology in hopes to become an educator or therapist to families. She also hopes to become certified as a spiritual guidance counselor too.
