I am an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary English Education student with experience teaching and supporting elementary level classrooms serving students with different learning styles. Previous employers have described me as having a motivated attitude and a variety of transferable skills.
I am very committed to utilizing my skills to further the mission of a school. With the experience that I have gained throughout my degree and any work within schools I have obtained, I have had the opportunity to view schools with a variety of differences within their cultural capital and the pupils that attend. I have had a desire to work abroad since a close family member worked internationally as a classroom teacher. Their experience inspired me to start thinking about working abroad and the further I looked into it the more fascinated I became. Working alongside such a wide range of culture, having the opportunity to expand my knowledge and teach myself about how different people live, learn and work is furthering my drive to chase this potential experience.
I would like to pinpoint what my personal teaching philosophy involves and what I would like to bring to your school. With the growing awareness surrounding adaptive teaching with additional needs, I want to make it my mission to ensure needs are addressed and assessed accurately so the best form of education can be provided. Ways in which I would like to improve this would be:
○ Mentoring all members of staff on how to notice signs that a child may have additional needs.
○ Ensuring all additional teaching staff e.g. (teaching assistant, 1:1) have been provided with information on how to formatively assess an individual’s needs.
○ As a class teacher, adaptive teaching would be a key part of lesson plans with clear instruction of how each lesson will be tailored to support each pupil.
