Welcome to my E-Portfolio!
My name is Hannah Sipe, and I am a recent graduate from The University of Akron. My degree is a Bachelor's in Music in Music Education, specifically Instrumental. My primary instrument is the Flute, though I played piano first and longer. I am 25 years old, and have been a part of professional organizations such as Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association, Northeast Ohio Flute Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity. I also participated in "Ohio's Pride" UA Marching Band for four years, in the flute section and drumline. Outside of UA, I participated in Rogues Hollow Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps.
As hobbies I enjoy painting, sewing, and crocheting. My favorite season is spring, because it's warm enough to sit outside and crochet with a cup of coffee. I learned to paint from watching Bob Ross videos. I worked as a barista at Starbucks for a couple of years, where my appreciation for coffee grew. I also enjoy hiking with my husband and travelling.
I was a member if this section for three out of four marching band years, earning the position of Cymbal Section Leader my final year.
I teach instrument sectionals at various middle/high schools, both during concert season and band camp. These schools include Mogadore HS, Westgate MS, and East Liverpool HS. This photo was taken while I performed for the woodwind students at Westgate MS.
I played synth for two years in the Rogues Hollow Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, this photo was taken at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. This was right after finals had happened.
