Now available in MSFS — debuting at the 2025 Paris Airshow
Surprise!
If you’ve followed my work for a while, you probably didn’t see this one coming. I’m proud to officially announce the release of the Ascendance ATEA — a hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft developed in close collaboration with Ascendance, and built specifically to showcase their vision inside Microsoft Flight Simulator.
This wasn’t just another aircraft project. It was a challenge, an opportunity, and a genuine collaboration with a forward-thinking aircraft manufacturer. The ATEA was developed to be featured in Ascendance’s simulator at the 2025 Paris Airshow, where attendees got hands-on with the aircraft in a fully immersive environment — a rare moment where real-world aerospace and flight simulation crossed paths in a public setting.
Unlike my usual aircraft rooted in classic aviation or bush flying, the ATEA represents a leap into the future of sustainable flight. With its unique lift + cruise architecture, eight electric rotors, and hybrid propulsion system, this aircraft required a custom approach — from its flight model to its UI systems and animations. Every detail had to reflect Ascendance’s standards, technical input, and long-term vision.
And yes — all of this was done by me, under NDA, behind the scenes while working on my regular lineup.
What makes this even more special is that the simulator version of the ATEA wasn’t built just for show. It was designed to help Ascendance present their aircraft in an accessible and engaging way — to investors, media, and aviation professionals at one of the world’s most iconic aerospace events. The aircraft model and flight logic were created specifically to support Ascendance's real-world mission, meaning realism, visual accuracy, and performance all had to meet a much higher bar than a typical entertainment release.
The ATEA is now available to all flight sim users — a direct result of that Paris Airshow debut. While it wasn’t announced ahead of time, I’m proud to have brought it into MSFS in a way that not only supports a real manufacturer’s goals, but also expands what Hangar Studios 713 is known for.
To those of you who’ve supported my previous work — thank you. And to those discovering my aircraft through the ATEA for the first time — welcome.
This was just the beginning of what’s possible.
