Ed Perez currently serves as the Secretary-Treasurer for the Hamptons Community Foundation.
Perez is also an elected Trustee with a flood protection agency in Sacramento’s Natomas Basin. He is the first Filipino-American to be elected as Trustee in the District’s 113-year history.
Perez also served as President of the City of Sacramento’s Civil Service Board – capping an extensive career in public employer-employee relations that includes serving as a member of the State’s labor relations team and serving as an officer in SEIU Local 1000, California’s largest state employee union representing over 96,000 members. He retired as a senior manager after a 34-year career with the State of California.
Perez’s commitment to the community is also reflected in his service on various organizations’ governing boards such as the Hamptons Owners Association where he currently serves as President, the Hamptons Community Foundation, the North Natomas Community Coalition, the Gardenland-Northgate Neighborhood Association, and the Midtown Lions Club.
He also serves as Vice President (Operations)/Treasurer of the Greater Sacramento Chapter of the Asian Pacific-Islander American Public Affairs Association’s (APAPA) Greater Sacramento Chapter.
In 2025, Governor Gavin Newsom appointed Perez as a public member to the Physician Assistant Board.
