Emergency Repro Hotline
The Emergency Repro Hotline originally started on the campus of Hampton University in September of 2019. The hotline's Founders Michyah Thomas (our Founding President) and Alexandria Brown (a former community service chair), entrusted HUGA with the hotline in the Spring of 2020. Since then we have added a handful of services to help expand upon the mission these two amazing women set. In addition many similar services have been created across the country based on Hampton's peer-to-peer repro- delivery model. Although we are currently working under a COVID-19 model, we still deliver all reproductive health products free of charge to Hampton University students (minus the student covering the small cost of shipping). The Period Project
The Period Project
The Period Project was founded in September 2019 by our current President, Amber Wynne. This project was created due to the lack of accessibility to menstrual products for students at Hampton University. The goal of the project was to create "period pantries" within every dorm, academic building, as well as a gender neutral location for our students who menstruate but don't identify as women.Due to COVID-19, in addition to some other unforeseen circumstances, The Period Project is currently run under the Emergency Repro- Hotline, and is sponsored by The Honey Pot Company and The Saalt Co. The Period Project will be offically implemented on the campus of Hampton University in the Fall of 2021.

Voting 2020 Campaign
With the upcoming election quickly approaching, HUGA wanted to take the opportunity to ensure that we are mobilizing the Black vote. This school year we pledged to register 100 people to vote within the upcoming election. We have used a grassroots approach by having conversations with our friends and family surrounding voting and began teaching them how to register to vote.
