March 2024 - MGI Hammer lab award winners include: undergraduate researcher Rosemary Northcote who earned the Frank Peabody Student Research Fund Award; undergraduate researcher Jessica Bailey, who was awarded the Amber Cody Springman Memorial Scholarship; and last but certainly not least graduate student Troy Burtchett who earned the Thomas S. Whittam Fellowship. Congrats and thank you all for your hard work!

June 2023 - Troy's YpfP/lipotechoic acid/small colony variant paper is published in Infection and Immunity. Major contributors also include the first Hammer lab student, Laura Hesse, our first technician, John Shook, and first postdoc, Phillip Delekta. The work also benefits from an outstanding collaboration with the Eswara lab at USF. Thank you all for your hard work getting this one across the finish line.
