Civil Litigation
What is Civil Litigation?
Civil law addresses financial disputes and controversies between people, families, companies, institutions and organizations including a citizen and federal, state and local governments. Civil litigation is required when two entities are unable to resolve a dispute over a contract or an agreement or some other financial matter. A common civil matter requiring an attorney is where a creditor, such as a credit card company, has filed a lawsuit against an individual claiming they owe them money.
