Goals:
Stay cool, try to get it done without watercooling. The small package requires every effort to avoid dissipation, but it cannot be avoided.
The box must be able to dissipate 200W heat for an hour without exceeding 60C on the heatsink temp.
The box dimensions are limited to 130x210x300mm
Instead of searching a case, this time I will create a bespoke case for the electronics, looks way simpler and is more fun
Box mounted near antenna cluster, radio is seperate. good detail measurements built into box. 3x SWR, current, volt, etc. no extra measurement equipment required to dignose or adopt the antenna cluster.
maximally 8 seperate verticals adjusted for each wavelength shall be switchable. Sharing a single set of radials (118m) down the hull. (4- 36m length segments)
The case will be built from 10mm aluminium bars covered by Aluminium plates later. For now I am experimenting with 10mm wood to know the parts for order - I have no good equipment to cut stuff properly, but I can design the puzzle parts and then it must be a fit. So some staging is necessary.
I learn a lot, i.e. my SWR meters must shrink desperately. The 7" PA display is insanely too big to meet the package goals.
Heatsink is realy nice - 40$ solid state relay sink have all similar dimensions. Its measurements are defining the dimensions of the package.
