Welcome

Welcome!

Friends of the Lake City Airport is a non-profit organization formed in 2024 to preserve and maintain the airport at Lake City, Michigan, (Y91) for the good of the community, keep the airfield operational for pilots use and safety, and save the airport as an asset for future generations.

Volunteer members from the community of Lake City and Missaukee County, as well as the airpark community, Home Acres Sky Ranch, work together to promote interest in aviation and maintain the grass runways.

Home Acres Sky Ranch Airpark (Y91) is home to 190 half-acre lots and 9 full-acre lots along taxiways that lead to the two grass runways (18/36 and 9/27). Some residents have 2 or 3 combined lots for their house and hangar, others built on single lots, and there are vacant lots still available for future residents to build their dream home with runway access. Check out the aviation website, Barnstormers, and real estate websites to find homes/hangars/land available for purchase from current lot owners.
