Halal Goat Meat

Feeding a better future

Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted. In reference to food, it is the dietary standard, as prescribed in the Qur’an (the Muslim scripture). The opposite of halal is haram, which means unlawful or prohibited. Halal and haram are universal terms that apply to all facets of life. These terms are commonly used in relation to food products, meat products, cosmetics, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, and food contact materials.

There are approximately 1.9 billion Muslims globally, making Islam the second-largest religion in the world behind Christianity with 3.35 million here in the United State alone. That's a lot of mouths to feed, and the CGS, CMNCEO, and UMN are dedicating to helping American farmers and American Muslims benefit from this growing market.

Wholesale Club Model

The wholesale business model is one of the most traditional models in business. It is the typical model of a production flow from manufacturers to distributers to retailers, ending with the consumer. The wholesale model is based off B2B transaction and large quantity sales over quality.

Production-Driven Model

Producer-driven models are when the producer sees a potential demand in a community and seeks to fill that demand.

Consumer-Driven Model

Buyer driven models are the easiest model and the simplest in terms of transactions as a consumer actively searches out a producer to buy a product.
