PhD Student in Pure Mathematics
University of Leeds
Hello! I'm Hal Simpson, a first-year PhD student in the algebra group at Leeds, under the supervision of Ilaria Colazzo and Joao Faria-Martins. I did a masters in mathematics at Keele University, and in particular did a project on skew braces there. I'm now working with various algebraic structures that have ties to the (set-theoretic) Yang-Baxter equation and pentagon equation.
