New article published with Yiğithan Mehmet Köse titled "Inverse Design of Selective Multilayer Emitters for Thermophotovoltaic Systems via Bayesian Optimization" in Solar Energy (SCI-Q2). We implemented inverse design for TPV emitter design by utilizing machine learning based Bayesian optimization. The study also introduced a novel and systematic material selection methodology for optical systems.

New article with Prof. Kerem Pekkan's group in Koç University titled "Optimized FDA blood pump: A case study in system-level customized ventricle assist device designs" accepted for publication in Annals of Biomedical Engineering (SCI-Q1). The article is a part of Canberk Yıldırım's PhD research work. Canberk is an alumni of our lab, and currently pursuing a PhD at Koç University.

Our team attended 11th International Symposium on Radiative Transfer (RAD-25) held in Kuşadası, Turkey, organized by International Center for Heat and Mass Transfer. We delivered four presentations as Seren Dinçer, Simay Akay, Ege Tahmaz and Yiğithan Mehmet Köse presented their research.

New article published with Berkay Arslan titled "Improved thermal management of electrical vehicles using internal magnetic field of the electric motors" in Applied Thermal Engineering (SCI-Q1). We showed that internal magnetic field of electric motors used for electrical vehicles can be used for improving thermal management if magnetic nanofluids are used as coolants.

Our team attended the 9th International Symposium on Advances in Computational Heat Transfer (CHT-24), hosted by Istanbul Technical University and International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer. We delivered five presentations in total, including Hakan Ertürk’s invited keynote speech titled as “Radiative Heat Transfer in Particulate Medium - Methods, Metrics and Revised Regime Map”.

Our recent study “Energy efficiency of solar illuminated vertical farms with different illumination strategies” is accepted for publication in Energy (SCI-Q1). This paper investigates the improvement in energy efficiency of crop production in vertical farms using solar illumination, fluorescent reflectors and IR-filters. You can access the article here.
