Hakan Ertürk, Ph.D. Professor, Mechanical Engineering
Boğaziçi University
Received his B.S., M.S. from Middle East Technical University, and Ph.D. from University of Texas at Austin, all in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for Intel Corporation’s Electronic Packaging Research Center (in Chandler, Arizona, USA) until he joined Boğaziçi University, where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the founding director of the Thermal and Energy Systems Laboratory.
His research is related to thermal sciences focusing on heat transfer, radiative transfer/optics, inverse problems, and thermal management. His group has been recently focusing on design/development of engineered materials using nano-particles/structures and their characterization. He has authored more than 80 peer reviewed papers and 10 US and international patents.
He is currently serving as an Editor for International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, published by Elsevier.
