Presented and discussed in study groups on a) Parfit’s critical view about psychological and bodily continuity criteria, b) Lewis’s R/I-relations between person stages, and c) the philosophy of space-time, eg. four-dimension.
Studied David Lewis’s modal realism and counterpart theory in our reading group.
Researched on the theory of personality development in psychology, with Freud’s ego-defense mechanisms, etc., and articulated a description of certain mechanisms using modal logic which later served as part of my Master’s thesis.

2017 Master’s Thesis Project, Zhejiang University Advisor: Dr. Li Jin
Defined the narrative alternating phenomenon about one's personality, constructed the psychological model deriving from existed rules, and illustrated the feasibility of using modern logic to interpret the psychological model based on the existent logic studies.
Constructed a preliminary semantic model, and presented several illuminations of psychological phenomenon using this logic model.
Gave a short report on National Conference on Modern Logic 2017 (10/21/2017, Hangzhou) about the topic.
2015 Undergraduate Thesis Project, Zhejiang University Advisor: Dr. Jun Meng
Learned complex theories about chaos, self-organizing and fractals.
Researched on Conway’s Life Game, proved that the chance of living for each cell from random initial condition to homeostasis is spatial heterogeneous and statistically fractal.
Compared Conway’s Life Game with Gene Regulatory Network, and identified the similarities between gene self-organizing network and multi grey-level cellular automata. Slides.
A publication on this thesis: The SOC in cells' living expectations of Conway's Game of Life and its extended version, Wei Jinling, Zhou Haiyan, Meng Jun, ..., Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, Volume 89, August 2016, Pages 348-352, ISSN 0960-0779
