Haiyan Zhou

I obtained my master's degree of philosophy in Logic from Zhejiang University this summer, 2017. Before that, I received my bachelor's degree of Electrical Engineering in Automation from Zhejiang University, too.

I have once developed and maintained visual processing functions for autonomous humanoid soccer robots competing in the RoboCup 2015, 2016 and helped our team gain silver medals twice. I carried out my bachelor's thesis about complex system, self-organizing theory and fractals and published an article on Chaos, Solitons & Fractals.

In the recent two years' study in philosophy, I explored on the philosophy of mind, epistemology, bioethics, metaphysics and logic, particularly interested in the issues of consciousness, mind-body problem, personal identity or personality, artificial intelligence and those related with complex theories. I also gave a report on National Conference of Modern Logic, 2017 on my master's thesis about using modern logic to interpret the phenomenon of narrative identity's change.

I have a persist interest in the philosophy of mind, and want to pursue doctoral studies in this field.
